really cool project cant wait to see more of this
A downloadable Game Demo for Windows and macOS
When the universe as we knew it came to an end, Violet made a fateful wish.
Play as Violet, humanity's only hope against total extinction, and save everyone from their terrible fates. That is, in order to save everyone, some must die...
Violet's Wish is a 2.5D side-scroller (meaning you can only move in 2 dimensions, but the graphics extend in the third as well). The basic controls revolve around running, jumping, crawling and interacting with things. Additional features include holding your breath (to avoid detection by sound-sensitive enemies), lock-picking and seven different kinds of magic, which can be acquired through the course of the game (only 1 of them available in the demo).
-The game is best played with stereo-headphones, as you must be able to tell where certain sounds are coming from.
You will only need a keyboard and a mouse to play this game. Controls and mechanics are not very complicated and can be mastered quickly.
Almost every sprite you see in the game is hand drawn with a black ballpen (actually multiple) on college-block.
Other than that the game is mostly black and white, and can be very dark (literally) at times. Usually only lights and magic produce any form of colour, as to keep it in line with the aesthetics of the ballpen art.
This is still a work in progress!
If you like the demo, or think this project could be good but needs improvement, then be so kind as to leave a donation (however small). I am doing this in my free time and it would be very awesome to see my hard work appreciated.

Thank you very much krin02,
As it is now a full demo (including story and some updated visuals/sounds) is in the works, and might be playable within the next few days.
I found the game interesting enjoyed the gameplay. Though I kinda wish the boss didn't teleport right behind you in the boss fight. Of course, I played the v0.1 version of the game and it could have been fixed. But I'm just saying what I played. Overall, nice game mechanically.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. http://www.youtube.com/c/Levont
Good evening, Levont.
Thank you very much for the feedback, I will work on the sounds and cues and some gameplay elements I noticed going slightly wrong while while watching your video.
Thanks you very much again, you cannot possibly imagine how important your input is for a first-time solo-developer.
Keep up the channel!
Amazing game dev had so much fun playing it :) i hope you enjoy my gameplay
Thank you very much for playing, GPHOBIA!
Seems the mechanic to hold your breath should be emphasised - I will work on that.
Once again, special shout-out to you, every bit of feedback is very much appreciated in these early days <3
